Sony Xperia C3 – Probably the world’s first Front Camera phone with Flash for the Selfie Addict

Sony has recently announced the Xperia C3 and C3 Dual – a front camera centric device that is designed for the Selfie addict in mind.  Armed with a LED Flash both at the front and the back, with 5MP camera and 8MP camera respectively.

The back camera is really nothing to shout about in the opinion of TGB.  No G-Lens, No OIS, nor any IP58 features.

The front camera is though an interesting concept.

5MP Wide-angle view lens that allows more to be captured on the camera for those who loves taking pictures of themselves.

Truly a lifestyle product for the narcissistic, i reckon this product will sell very well in developed cities like Taiwan, Singapore, China and Japan.

So for those of us who don’t take selfies (as much as we want to) and who hates seeing selfies on your Social Media feeds, brace yourselves!

Key Specs of Sony Xperia C3 (LTE version)
Display: 5.5″ Screen with Triluminious display
Resolution: 720 x 1280px
Processor: 1.2GHz Snapdragon
Storage: 8GB with Expandable Memory upto 32GB
Camera (Front/Back): 5MP/8MP
Battery Capacity: 2,500 mAh

Good enough for those of you who loves to take pictures of yourself.

Now to wait for the product and do a feature test against the HTC One M8, the only device that TGB thinks that by far has the best Selfie Feature in the market.

TheGeekyBeng had intend to troll Nokia Singapore during the End May Event at MSFT at One Marina Boulevard. Especially when the whole #GreenDuck invite was sent to us. I am afterall, still a Lumia lover.

Frankly speaking, the Nokia X family devices are, how should i put it nicely, major-atrocity out-of-the-box.  I first encountered the Nokia X in Thailand when I was having my usual monthly pilgrimage to my retirement homeland in early May, took a shot of it and shared it on my Facebook with my friends.  And when Nokia Singapore invited me to experience the XL for myself sometime in the last week of May, I had actually prepared to troll them with my RedMi and Sony Xperia Z2 that night. Opps! Sorry Nokia Singapore!

How we know it is awesome?

TGB was window-shopping at IMM yesterday,  when he stroll into Coach Men’s Outlet Store and saw a bag that he have been putting off to buy.   An equally eagle-eyes Sales assistant caught a glimpse of the outstanding Nokia XL in TGB’s possession.   What was supposed to be a window-shopping trip left TGB with a 1.2k Coach Bag at 50% + 30% discount and a bunch of Coach sales assistants that is sold at the awesomeness of the Nokia XL.

Anyway,  impromptu lunches on a terrific Tues is always very rewarding.   And Coach IMM guys,  I will be back!

Post done on the Super Awesome Nokia XL.

Nokia Lumia 930 – scheduled for release in Asia soon?

According to very reliable sources, the Nokia Lumia 930 is schedule for release soon in Asia market, with TGB’s home country Singapore expected launch to be towards the end-of-June 2014.

Of course, just a few minutes ago, WPCentral have reported that Nokia Lumia 930 is available for Pre-Orders across major Europe markets at a very much reduced price.

The Lumia 930 sports a brilliant 5″ ClearBlack Display with 1080p resolution armed with a 2.2GHz Snapdragon Processor with 2GB RAM and 32GB Storage Space – downside, no expandable memory.

And this is the official first WP8.1 device on the market … so die die must get!

Of course, the superb camera, sports the Carl Zeiss len and a 20MP OIS Enabled Dual LED Flash with the signature Nokia Camera software that is you know, most camera phone’s nightmare.

TGB is praying hard for an Orange set to come to him very soon!

But before the arrival of Lumia 930, TGB will be getting his hands on an equally big device … this Thurs.

Can anyone guess what it is?  Let me give you a hint, its another Nokia.

While TGB is in Bangkok, two BIG new devices will be landing in Singapore soon.

Fresh off the “inside sauces” …

Two devices that TheGeekyBeng is looking forward to is coming to Singapore soon.  One of them as soon as tomorrow during a very intimate Meet-up Event.

The other, while, the LAST device of that brand is a MUST get for TGB.

Simple enough?

Here’s the obvious hint:
Mi is making Note that something Orange will match my TUMI Bag when i go on my Europe trip in July.
